> Thank you for your public records request regarding financial literacy instruction in Hickory City Schools. At the middle school level, Hickory City Schools offers the Paxton-Patterson Personal Finance module as part of our Career Explorations course. Students who choose Career Explorations may select this module once during grades 6-8. The module is designed to be completed in approximately 10 instructional hours. Additionally, we partner with State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) to provide the Reality of Money program, an interactive financial literacy simulation that gives students hands-on experience with budgeting and real-world financial responsibilities.
